Cat Claw Rose's

 Hand painted Wearable Art

She comes in and sits down at her workbench.  Just came in from feedin’ the horses and had another idea.  Cat Claw Rose puts on her glasses,  picks up her paintbrush and starts to paint.  In a couple of hours or so, she’s well on her way to finishing another piece of “wearable art”.

Wearable Art?  Not many people think of art as “wearable”.  Those folks aren’t Cat Claw Rose.  Shari Runnels Boykin sees things differently than most folks.  She takes wooden  cut outs of Texas and paints Texas Wildflowers on them, so real, you can almost smell them.   Or cut polished pieces of antler,  or horn,  and paints a likeness of a favorite horse,  a Texas Sunset,  or a Cowboy on a buckin’ bronc.  Each one an individual masterpiece in miniature.  A special glaze is  applied to protect them and a pin back added.  Or do you need a tie for a special occasion?  Cat Claw Rose also hand paints western images on vintage ties.  You now have “wearable art”,  painted by this fifth generation Texas Artist.
